Links that can save a life. Knowledge and understanding are our best weapons in fighting what has become a silent epidemic among teens! Day 4, Tip 4: During yoga class last week, I heard a song that was so powerful I hung out in Down Dog just to listen to more of it. The sound is titled Scars to Your Beautiful and it’s by Alessia Cara. It’s a song about how so many of us try to be perfect and how the fear that we aren’t allows us to be hurt, to be manipulated. To be controlled. To be abused. One of the best weapons against abuse is strong self-esteem. Believe in yourself. In your unique and beautiful self. You’re in good hands when you place trust in yourself. Don’t let anyone else tell you how to think or how to feel or how to act. You. Matter. Of course, Alessia sings it so much better than I can write it: Scars to Your Beautiful Tags: #LoveisRespect, #TeenDVMonth, #yalit, #YouMatter, Amy Fellner Dominy, Delacorte, DIE FOR YOU, Relationship Abuse, YA Click here to cancel reply.
