Cookiesaurus Rex is back for a new adventure in Cookiesaurus Christmas. We’re celebrating with a story time and cookie-decorating party at Changing Hands Bookstore. All the information is above so you can make plans to join us with your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins…well, you get the idea. The book is perfect for kids 2 – 6 but all are welcome to enjoy the fun (and the cookies!) Hope to see you there!

  This past week, the Arizona Library Association held their annual meeting. Each year, they present the Judy Goddard Award to a young adult author. This year, that author was me! I’m very lucky I didn’t have food stuck in my back teeth because I was smiling so wide, you would have seen it. 🙂 As I said at the lunch, it’s always amazing to be recognized. But it’s even more special when you’re recognized by a group that you respect so much. My mom is a retired librarian; my sister is a librarian. I have so much admiration for the job librarians do–this was definitely a day I’ll always remember.    

St. George residents! I’ll be at the Barnes and Noble at Red Cliffs Mall this coming Friday, October 13th at 6:00p.m.  I’ll be there with best-selling author Terry Lynn Johnson (who also happens to be a good friend.) Here we are exploring the desert while Terry researched one of the books in her amazing Survivor Diaries series. Stop by and bing your kids! I’ll have Cookiesaurus Rex coloring sheets and mazes, and we’re happy to personalize books in advance of the holidays! <3    

Had a great afternoon at the North Valley Regional Library in Anthem. Love talking books with teens, and hanging out with an uber-talented bunch of Phoenix authors (Kate Watson, Amy K. Nichols, Tom Leveen, Abigail Johnson & Stephanie Elliot.) Plus, there were cookies, too! All around a perfect day. 🙂
